Both Agreements and DisagreementsWhen an individual makes their crossing over, they will often see people and not remember initially who they were, why would they be there to greet them and be so happy to see them, but it is because of the impact that that individual made on their life. They may encounter spirits who were related to or who played major roles in their entire existence over many past lives, including beings from other communities than earth.

Agree...it is important we understand welcoming entities may not be part of our own particular learning group in the spirit world. This is because all the people who are close to us in our lives are not on the same developmental level. Simply because they choose to meet us right after death out of love and kindness does not mean they will all be part of our spiritual learning group when we arrive at the final destination of this journey.

AgreeNow, you may or may not be greeted by friends or relatives immediately following death. This is a personal matter, as always. Overall, you may be far more interested in people that you have known in past lives than those close to you in the present one, for example.

AgreeQuestion 160 Does the spirit immediately find itself in the company of the ones it knew on Earth who died before it? Answer: Yes, and more or less promptly depending on the strength of their mutual affection. Spirits will often come to meet a spirit on its return to the spirit-world and help to free it from the bonds of matter. Others, which a spirit knew but lost sight of on Earth will also come to meet it. Finally, it can both see those in the spirit-world and visit the ones who are still incarnated.

AgreeYou will doubtless recall that among my various activities is that of helping folk when they are making their entrance into these lands at their 'death'. I work in company with others, chief among whom are my two old friends, Edwin and Ruth. The former, you will also recollect, is an erstwhile priestly colleague of my earthly days who met me upon my arrival here, and whose welcome presence I was overjoyed to have in those initial moments immediately following upon my transition.

Seeing death as the end of life is like seeing the horizon as the end of the ocean.
