The Afterlife
Connection and dis-connection from earth experiences (1) Agree: 10 Disagree: 0
88 After a period of time one begins to totally disconnect from the physical connection that they still have with earth, and by that we mean the desire to go and explore, and recreate events that they experienced on earth. However, there will be times later in your spirit life when you can use your mental capacities to create a scene that you would like to be experiencing from earth. In the spirit world, seeing a temple is not a literal record of stone blocks but rather a visualization of the meaning the temple has to that soul. — Destiny of Souls, Michael Newton There are souls who come to Earth as invisible beings between lives so that they can re-experience former physical environments. — Destiny of Souls, Michael Newton Since it is possible to create any reality in the spirit world, it is not unusual that some souls wish to spend their off periods in the houses where they lived on Earth....These souls may want to mentally construct an exact duplication of familiar settings around where they used to live,...and any structures which remind them of their old hometown. They only have to conjure up these places from memory and use directed energy beams for the images to appear. — Destiny of Souls, Michael Newton Perhaps your life span runs for seventy-seven years. After death, you may, under certain conditions and if you choose, experience the events of those seventy-seven years at your leisure - but not necessarily in terms of continuity. You may alter the events. You can manipulate within that particular dimension of activity that represented your seventy-seven years. If you find severe errors of judgment, you may then correct them. You may perfect, in other words, but you cannot again enter into that frame of reference as a completely participating consciousness following, say, the historic trends of the time, joining into the mass-hallucinated existence that resulted from the applied consciousness of your self and your 'contemporaries'. Some choose this rather than reincarnating, or rather as a study before a new reincarnation. These people are often perfectionists at heart. They must go back and create. They must right their errors. They use the immediately-past life as a canvas, and with the same 'canvas' they attempt a better picture. — Seth Speaks: The Eternal Validity of the Soul, Jane Roberts I found myself in company with two old friends, one of them my father. He came to be with me, to help and generally show me round. It was like nothing else so much as merely arriving in a foreign country and having a chum to go around with. That was the principal sensation. The scene from which we had so lately come (1) was already well relegated to the past. Having accepted the change of death, all the horror of our late experience had gone. It might have been fifty years ago instead of, perhaps, only last night. Consequently our pleasure in the new land was not marred by grief at being parted from earth friends. I will not say that none were unhappy, many were; but that was because they did not understand the nearness of the two worlds; they did not know what was possible, but to those who understood the possibilities, it was in a sense the feeling, "Let us enjoy a little of this new land before mailing our news home"; therefore there was little grief on our arrival. — The Supreme Adventure: Analyses of Psychic Communications, Robert Crookall 89 As you move into your spirit life your connection with your loved ones is always there. You continuously have a capability for at least one-way telepathic communication and can see what is going on with all of your loved ones simultaneously regardless of their location. Though you have a knowledge that a new baby has been born into your former earth family, your connection to this infant is not nearly as strong as the bond that you have made with those that were there on earth when you were there. Survivors must learn to function again without the physical presence of the person they loved by trusting the departed soul is still with them. Acceptance of loss comes one day at a time. Healing is a progression of mental steps that begins with having faith you are not truly alone. — Destiny of Souls, Michael Newton Question 160 Does the spirit immediately find itself in the company of the ones it knew on Earth who died before it? Answer: Yes, and more or less promptly depending on the strength of their mutual affection. Spirits will often come to meet a spirit on its return to the spirit-world and help to free it from the bonds of matter. Others, which a spirit knew but lost sight of on Earth will also come to meet it. Finally, it can both see those in the spirit-world and visit the ones who are still incarnated. — The Spirits Book: Modern English Edition, Allan Kardec Question 328: Is a spirit ever present at meetings of its heirs? Answer: Almost always. Providence offers such occasions as learning experiences and for the spirit to reassess its views. The spirit is able then to determine what the declarations of affection and devotion it heard during life were really worth.... — The Spirits Book: Modern English Edition, Allan Kardec Now there is an in-between stage of relative indecision, a midplane of existence a rest area, comparatively speaking, and it is from this area that most communication from relatives occurs. This is usually the level that is visited by the living in projections from the dream state. — Seth Speaks: The Eternal Validity of the Soul, Jane Roberts "Well, when I was waiting at home for my son to pick me up, I was sitting with Paul's picture in
my hands on the couch and I asked out loud to Paul, I said, "Paul, if it really you tonight, then
I want you tell that very same story about you and your brother. That is just incredible,
absolutely amazing!!! I cannot believe he came through with that. Wow!"
Paul knew his brother and mom were suffering greatly and struggling to come to terms with
his sudden and tragic passing. He also knew that they needed proof, especially his brother, to
be able to believe that it was really him and he did a great job in bringing through things that
only they would have known. Paul also proved to them that night that he was, in no uncertain
terms, alive and well and still carried with him the same great charm and sense of humor he
had in his life. He also showed them that he was still around them by bringing through the
things they asked him too and talking about things that had happened with their business
that occurred after his passing...That night changed the way they viewed his life and death,
and his life after death. For they know now, that he is indeed alive and well and never really
far away and all they have to do is think of him and he is there with them. — The Messenger, Denise Lescano
